Poll: Wyo. House Race Gets Tighter
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Democratic candidate in the race for Wyoming's only House seat has nearly caught up to Rep. Barbara Cubin after a third candidate accused the Republican of threatening to smack him, a poll published Sunday found. Rankin, who has MS and uses a wheelchair, said that after a debate, Cubin "walked over to me and said, 'If you weren't sitting in that chair, I'd slap you across the face.'" Cubin's version is that she challenged Rankin's debate assertions and said, "If you had said that to anyone else, they probably would have smacked you."...more |
