UAMS Researcher Receives $348,000 Grant to Study MS [ArkansasBusiness.com]
A researcher at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock has been awarded a $348,487 grant from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to study the cause and possible therapies for multiple sclerosis, or MS, a chronic neurological disease affecting multiple regions in the brain and spinal cord. Patricia Wight, Ph.D., professor of physiology and biophysics at UAMS, will use the grant to investigate how myelin proteins are regulated at the level of the genemore |
